Saeera means hope, and also the traveller. A reminder that the companies we back are never finished — they keep moving and evolving through the years.

§ 01 — Approach

A simple
arrangement.

Most private equity is built around a fund's clock. We are not. Saeera is structured to be a permanent home for businesses whose owners are ready to pass them on.

    We buy.
    We acquire small and mid-sized businesses outright, usually from owners moving toward retirement.
  2. 02
    We hold.
    Saeera is not a fund. There is no clock, no LP base, no pressure to exit. We plan to own these companies for a long time.
  3. 03
    We invest our own capital.
    Decisions are made directly. No committees, no approvals chain. The person you meet is the person who signs.
  4. 04
    We work in Singapore and abroad.
    Our base is Singapore. We will look at good businesses anywhere we can credibly be involved.

§ 02 — Working with the owner

Three ways
to hand it over.

Every owner's situation is different. Depending on how dependent the company is on you, and how much you want to keep doing, one of these usually fits. We are open to variations.

Path A

Full exit

You want out. We acquire 100% of the business; you hand over at completion. We agree on a short transition window for introductions to staff, customers and suppliers.

3–6 month handover
Path B

Phased step-back

You want to slow down without disappearing. We acquire a controlling stake; you stay on as Chair, Senior Advisor or part-time MD for a fixed period while a successor is brought in.

12–24 months
Path C

Continuing partner

You'd like liquidity but don't want to leave. We acquire a majority; you keep meaningful equity, stay operating, and we work on the next chapter together.

Saeera is a one-person investment office. The person you talk to is the person who owns the decision and signs the papers. There are no analysts, associates or committees in between.

I started buying small businesses in Singapore a few years ago, beginning with the pest control and fumigation sector. I now own and oversee six companies in that space, all acquired from owners who were ready to retire.

We always work alongside the existing team, with deep respect for the company's culture and the legacy the owner has built. The aim is continuity, not reinvention.

Saeera is the next chapter of that work. The intent is the same: buy good, profitable companies from owners moving on, and run them properly for the long term. I'm now looking for the next one, in any sector, in Singapore or abroad.
